Hi, I’m Dr. Clara Bertan.
Getting a sense of who someone is from two paragraphs is a tall order. Let me start off by sharing with you my heart for the work that I do. I never imagined becoming a therapist but somehow this profession just sort of found me. I knew God had a plan and calling for my life and a big part of that was walking alongside people who were hurting. As I was deeply encouraged by the kindness and generosity of others throughout my life, I began to understand the power of genuine and restorative relationships.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in non-profits, ministry, and school settings. Much of my spiritual-integration experience comes from my work as a Chaplain. After years of doing therapy as a licensed MFT, I went back to school to obtain my doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. In that time, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing many expressions of faith and the way that God calls each of us by name. I have a unique approach to therapy that isn’t tied down by the end result. I believe the work is in the journey and the process of becoming. I look forward to connecting with you and collaboratively creating the space where God can meet us with His healing presence.
